Program Registration/Auditions

 

 

UTC Youth Group Theatre Program Registration:

 

  1. Annual season program registration occurs August-September

    • ​Program runs from January-June from 5-9pm

    • AND

    • 2 consecutive weeks in July 9-4pm

    • 4 performances in July

 

All students interested in being a part of UTC's Youth Group will audition for admission into the Youth Group Program.

​

Successful applicants will then be cast in the show.

 

 

 

Registration Package for the program includes:

  1. Registration form for your child

  2. $50 non-refundable payment form

  3. Media Release form 

  4. Rehearsal and Performance Schedule

  5. Basic Audition Information

  6. Cast Shirt Size Chart

  7. Updated Policy document

Audition Requirements

 

UTC Youth Group Theatre Program Audition Info:

 

  1. All students interested audition for our youth program. Upon successful audition, students will then be cast in our current production

  2. All students who register and pay the registration fee of $50 will be granted an audition

  3. Complete the audition package, and bring it with you to your audition

    • Once registered, students will be sent an audition sign up link

    • All auditions take place in the main auditorium of Harmony Creek Community Centre, 15 Harmony Rd. N

  4. $50 non-refundable registration fee e-transferred to upscale.music.studios@gmail.com

  5. Students who audition must be 10 years of age and older at time of audition

  6. No previous theatre experience necessary

 

What to Prepare:

 

  1. There are 3 parts to our audition process

    1. All applicants must prepare a 1-minute section of a musical theatre song that showcases their vocal range and ability. (Disney is acceptable). Applicants will be provided with an accompanist, and must bring a copy of their sheet music to the audition.

    2. All applicants must prepare a 1-2 minute monologue of their choice that showcases their personality, and age. Applicants must also bring a copy of their monologue for the audition panel.

    3. All applicants should come prepared for a choreography audition. Please bring proper footwear - jazz shoes or bare feet are best (no open-toed shoes or sandals).

    4. **Please note that all audition packages must include a recent headshot/photo of the applicant

    5. **Please arrive 10 minutes before your audition to sign in

All Auditions will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 5-9pm
